about

Reuben Truck brings traditional Jewish food out of the delicatessen and on to the streets of LA! Featuring sandwiches piled high with slow cooked corned beef and pastrami, fresh deli salads and homemade side dishes. The inspiration for Reuben Truck began in my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. At a young age, I began working side by side with my father at his Jewish deli and cold cut manufacturing plant. I discovered my love for food and quickly realized I had a talent for cooking. I continued working with and learning from the experienced chefs and butchers at the deli throughout high school.
I admired my father’s work ethic and knew that I wanted a career in the food industry as well. After earning my Bachelors of Science Degree in Restaurant Management from Penn State University, I immediately moved to Los Angeles and began work in special events and catering which I have been doing for the past 6 years.
All of my experiences have led me back to my original passion for sharing my food. Last summer I debuted Reuben’s Sandwich Co., my personal take on East-coast deli classics made modern and fresh for west-coast foodies. I received incredible feedback from food festival patrons who tasted my sandwiches. Their number one question was, “Where can we get your food all of the time?!” My answer… Reuben Truck.
Reuben Truck fuses traditional Jewish deli food with a modern approach. I aim to please lifelong deli enthusiasts by serving them familiar favorites as well as introduce an entirely new generation of food lovers to my slow-cooked corned beef and pastrami. My flavors pay homage to Jewish delis of yesteryear but my concept brings old-school comfort food current. With Reuben Truck I hope to develop a sense of community through various events and social networking. Reuben Truck brings genuine Jewish food out of the delicatessen and on to the streets of LA!
